Our Philosophy

Neuro[R]evolution is a different kind of ABA... one that is focused on empowering those experiencing challenges due to their own or a loved one's struggles to thrive in a world that doesn't always understand their neurodivergence.

Consultative ABA therapy is completely different from traditional, tiered ABA service models. In the traditional ABA therapy setup, a child is recommended to receive anywhere from 25-40 direct treatment hours per WEEK with very little interaction with the actual BCBA. That number of treatment hours is a huge commitment for families as well as clinicians and insurance companies when oftentimes hiring issues, training shortfalls, and lack of commitment from newly trained therapists prevent not only progress but learning opportunities for these clients and their newly trained behavior therapists. Due to these challenges, the high hourly requirement and commitment for tiered service models are often not even utilized. Additionally, the disconnect between the client's recommended goals and their actual daily therapy activities are often a jarring contradiction, partly due to the lack of involvement the family and BCBA actually have with the direct services provided in this model.

Our therapy services are typically delivered at 15 hours per week of direct, 1-1 therapy with our clients along with 3 hours a week of supervision: program oversight and updates that are unique to our families' goals (these supervision hours may be done alone by your child's BCBA or concurrently with your child's RBT/intern while the BCBA supervises). 1 hour per week is spent reviewing progress with our families, providing support and learning opportunities unique to their situation, and empowering them to care for their loved ones during the storms of life. These services are delivered directly to your family by your BCBA for a minimum of HALF of your child's total recommended therapy hours. The other half of your child's therapy hours are delivered by one of our highly motivated, bachelor's/master's level paid interns working towards their BCaBA/BCBA certification, or in some cases, career-level RBTs who are committed to long-term employment in the field of ABA therapy. This maximizes your child's progress while reducing the effort on your time, resources, and weekly therapeutic commitment(s).

Under Neuro[R]evolution's POD model, a 15-hour direct therapy service model would be delivered with two full days' commitment-providing your family ample time to utilize the skills learned in your ABA therapy sessions during personal, medical, or other commitments. As your child's team is assigned a paid intern, often 3+ of these hours (i.e., supervision and protocol modification hours and/or family engagement hours) are done concurrently with your child when the BCBA is also in your home working with you or your child's programming.

Here is a typical schedule for one of our 15 direct hours per week clients

MONDAY:

8am-12pm: Direct therapy by an RBT/BCBA intern while the BCBA observes and supervises, making changes to the child's treatment plan as appropriate. At 11am, the the BCBA collaborates with the family during Family Engagement/Parent Training to handle concerns and bounce ideas off one another while learning ABA strategies.

(Clinical team typically breaks for lunch from 12pm-1pm).

1pm-6:30pm: The BCBA arrives back to the home at 1pm and begins implementing ABA therapy directly with the child and family until 6:30pm.

TUESDAY:

1pm-6:30pm: The RBT/intern from the child's POD (typically the same RBT who worked with the BCBA on Monday) comes to the home at 1pm and continues to work with the family and child until 6:30pm.

AND THAT'S IT! In this example, the family now has Wednesday-Sunday free to engage in personal time, or to request and sign-up for additional support on other available days (we offer Fridays to our clients and therapists with paid bonuses and extra PTO accrual for our staff who elect to sign up to be available any Friday or holiday/special day that a family is in need of clinical support) to help recoup any missed hours from prior cancellations due to weather, illness, or other unexpected events.

The Neuro[R]evPOD SYSTEM :

1 BCBA : 1-2 Paid Interns : 4 Families

Neuro[R]evolution is not just about changing the field of ABA for clients and families - it is also about changing the field for our RBTs and BCBAs who often face insurmountable challenges in a thankless job with very little support or work/life balance. We seek to change this by offering mandatory paid time off, choices for additional monetary or PTO bonuses, salaried pay, benefits, and a supportive environment with a close-knit team. We believe that a strong sense of security allows our team to focus on what matters most: helping those who need our expertise. This is why we keep our PODs small - we believe in concentrating our efforts on empowering you and your child for the future!
